Workshops, Talks, Massage, Demonstrations

Free Workshops are usually workshops that "BB" offers at an event that he is attending. Some of these events charge an entry fee, event fee or daily fee to attend. Anyone who has paid for that event can take a workshop or participate in a demonstration that is offered by "BB" without paying an additional fee. Other events are free and open to the pubic.
Note: All Free Workshops are tentative until approved by the sponsoring organization.

Barry Bailey, MS, LMT, Active Stretching Instructor/Coach recently appeared as a guest on the Cable TV show "The Healing Space" with host Barbara Cappadona, LMT. Three Active Stretching shows were recorded. Barbara's massage practice is in Medway. She is a STAR Tech Practitioner and was interested in having her clients learn more about Active Stretching, to help them maintain the STAR Tech Healing treatments she does on them.
The three shows were recorded at the Ashland Cable Station and are currently airing in Massachusetts on the Ashland, Framingham and Medway Public Access Cable TV stations.
In the first show Barry introduces Barbara and the viewers to Active Stretching, and explains how and why it works. In the second show he leads an Upper Body Active Stretching Class demonstrating some of the stretches from his Full-Body Active Stretching for EveryBODY Class that he offers regularly in Maynard and Boxborough. In the third show he leads a Lower Body Active Stretching Class. Each show is thirty minutes long.
Arrangements are currently under way to have the three shows air on additional Massachusetts Public Assess Cable TV Stations including Maynard, Stow, Concord, Acton, Sudbury, Hudson and Marlborough. If you live in one of these towns, please check the schedule for the air time of "The Healing Space".
As the individual stations publish their schedule, it will be posted here.

        December ?, 2008
        Sunday. 2:00 pm Start time.
        Maynard Annual Holiday (Christmas) Parade
.
The Theme for 2008 is "?".

This will be the 42nd Maynard Christmas Parade. It is sponsored and organized by the Rotary Club of Maynard.
The Parade starts at 2 pm at the Clock Tower parking lot off Sudbury Street. From there it travels down Main Street to McDonalds, turns left up Summer Street past the Fire Department, and left again onto Nason Street (passing by our office) and onto Main Street again to the original starting point.
Massage Therapists and their friends, relatives and clients are invited to join together with Barry "BB" Bailey to form a marching group to represent the Massage profession. Massage Therapists, and their relatives, friends and clients can walk, drive cars or trucks, push wheelbarrows or pull wagons with signs advertising their practices, and/or promoting massage. Get to know other area therapists, be visible to the public, and have a fun time.
You may or may not want to march in costume. Each year the Parade has had a theme. The theme in 1998 was "Let's all be Clowns". Our group of four dressed as clowns. In 2002 our Massage Therapists Group received front page mention in the local paper because of our humorous float which reserved a massage table/treatment for Santa, Christmas Day.
Please contact Barry "BB" Bailey at bb601@Verizon.net if you or your health-related group are interested in marching with us.
Or, form your own group and march in the parade. For more information on the Parade, contact the Rotary Spokesperson, Nancy Ledgard Quinn at
(978) 897-2781, or email her at nledgard@aol.com .
Note: Scroll down this page to view photos of our involvement in past Christmas Parades .
