STAR Tech® Professional Advanced Training Workshops
will teach
Health Care and Sports Professionals how to use STAR Tech®
with a client or with a patient. Advanced Training Workshops are offered to Massage
Therapists, Body Workers and other Healing Professionals including
Chiropractors, Physical Therapists, Reflexologists, etc. STAR Tech®
Workshops also provide valuable techniques that can be used by Athletes, Coaches
and Fitness Trainers as well.
Some Professionals may be able to use STAR Tech® Treatment Workshops
towards their Continuing
Education Requirements. Please check with the Governing Body of your
organization to insure that it will accept credits for STAR Tech®
Workshops if that is your goal.
For anyone taking an Advanced Professional Training Workshop, a working
knowledge of muscles is a pre-requisite.

Mattes is a valuable foundation tool for this STAR Tech® training, but is
not required.
If you are not comfortably familiar with Active Isolated Stretching, it is
highly recommended that you attend at least one Active Stretching class with
Barry to learn AIS basics before attending this workshop. First time Active
Stretching Classes with Barry are FREE.

elbow, golfers elbow and Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.
Learn techniques for
treating pain and injuries of the lower arm flexors and extensors, plus biceps,
triceps and deltoids. Learn how to relieve your own overworked arms, hands and shoulders.
The Workshop will include an overview and explanation of STAR Tech®, an anatomy
review, Active Isolated Stretching, STAR Stretching training, hands-on
treatment protocols, and instructions for client recovery and self-maintenance.

Workshop Description:
This Workshop will introduce you to Active Isolated Stretching and show you how
you can incorporate it into your sessions. By assisting your client in stretches
you will get better and faster results
during your treatments.
The class will include stretches for the major muscle groups of the entire body.
The assisted stretches will include ones that can be done during a traditional
Swedish treatment when using full draping, as well as ones done with the client
is gym wear.
Emphasis will be placed on how to teach your client how to relax into each
stretch in order to gain the most benefit from it.
What to Bring: Bring linens to cover the massage table. Depending on the size of
the class, another massage table or two may be needed to supplement the two that
are available at the learning Center.
